While every day is open day at the German International School Sydney (GISS), GISS flings open its gates four times a year on a weekend, specifically to give prospective students and their families an opportunity to discover more about all aspects of student life.
Open Day on Saturday, 18 March from 12pm to 3pm, will aim to provide as much information as possible about what we have to offer, both as a place of study and as a community to be part of.
Visitors will discover the strong bilingual and academic programs available as well as realise, GISS is at the forefront of the latest trends and knowledge in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CIL). GISS prides itself in effectively providing a dual-focused education approach in which an additional language is used for the learning and teaching of both content and language.
Several school tours tailored to the visitors’ interest will be guided by current students throughout the Open Day. A detailed presentation by the vice principal about the school’s concept and curriculum, alongside the possibility of one-on-one talks with coordinators, teachers, current students and parents give interested parents a very good insight and answer all individual questions.
