Congratulations to the 2015 IB academic year, who have achieved a 100% pass rate, making it the second highest school average to date, at 35.57 with the world average this year being 29.88.
While four students were awarded bilingual diplomas, two will be presented with Distinction Awards by The Australian Association of IB Schools for scoring 40 or above. However, in an unprecedented first for GISS, every GISS graduate will be awarded Merit Awards for scoring the top grade of a seven in at least one of their subjects, or an A for their extended essay or ToK essay.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is recognised for providing a quality education, high standards, consistent and rigorous assessment. The course encourages critical thinking and independent study, helping students prepare for university and life beyond their school years. The IB Diploma program produces well rounded individuals who are prepared for a continuously changing and challenging global society.
We again, congratulate the 2015 IB cohort and wish them every success moving forward.
