Study and vocational guidance at GISS

Dear Students,

Here in the area of studies and vocational guidance you will find a comprehensive list of links which can provide you with information about training, studying and working in Germany, Europe and Australia.

The decision of what to study or which course to take should be carefully considered.

Make sure you read up on things and take time to explore your interests. Also familiarise yourself with different occupational fields. You will be astounded to see how many different professions there are out there. There is definitely a profession which suits you; you just need to find it.

Evaluate your capabilities and skills. In the link provided, you can find tests which can provide you with further information on your own abilities. But what is even more important is that you speak with people about your professional requirements; people you know will give good and honest feedback. These can be friends, parents, relatives or even teachers.

The link list initially provides a general orientation for you. It is here that you can test your skills/interests and find out which occupations best suit. There are also many links to further information which address specific issues like education, choice of profession and study in Australia, Germany and Europe.

All care has been taken with the information and links provided. However, the German International School Sydney is not responsible for the content of other websites or the information contained on these pages.

If the list provided is missing important information, websites are not accessible, or if you have suggestions about the design of this area in general, please email me: eike.luethgens@giss.nsw.edu.au.

If you have questions I will gladly support you! But you must take the initiative; it is your future.

Good luck in your search!
