How can you become a teacher, staff-member or principal at the German International School Sydney?

If you are based in Australia, you can apply directly as a teacher with a local contract. In any case, we recommend that you take a look at our job vacancies before applying.

What are the expectations and requirements for teaching staff at GISS?

• Completed training as a teacher with several years' experience in Primary Schools, Secondary Schools or Comprehensive Schools
• Proficient German and English knowledge (both written and verbal)
• Be familiar with competency orientated teaching, open work methods and methodical teaching
• Outstanding commitment, able to work under pressure and in a team environment
• The right to work in Australia
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
