The GISS AGM took place on 25 May, with many members joining either in person at school or taking part online. There were a few changes within the Board with Jennifer Gilmore stepping down from her position as Deputy Chair/Human Resources Portfolio, which she had held for five years. Dr Nicole Bruell, who looked after the Pedagogical portfolio for many years, and Birgit Tegethoff, who managed the Marketing & Partnerships portfolio, also announced that they would withdraw from re-election, based on ever-growing professional commitments and moving overseas. On behalf of the whole school community, I would like thank Jennifer, Nicole and Birgit for their strong support and valuable contributions they have provided over many years.Four new board members were elected: Desiree Hemberger (HR, Staff attraction & retention), Dr Rico Merkert (Pedagogy), Anthony Dumont (Marketing & Partnerships) and Felix Marian, who will be taking over the Treasurer's role from Hansjoerg Knieling as well as continuing to hold the Campus Development Portfolio). Hansjoerg Knieling has been elected chairperson after Dr Angelika Yates has stepped down from this position. Angelika es will continue to hold the legal portfolio and I would like to thank her for her leadership and continued support.Congratulations to the newly elected members and I thank all for their commitment to join the GISS Board. - Lorenz Metzger
