On Monday 26th August, a select group of students from Years 3 to 6 went to the IPSHA ATHLETICS Carnival held at Sydney Athletics Centre at Olympic Park, Homebush.

It was the first time that students represented GISS and everyone participated in either 100m or 200m races and long jump. All of our students did their very best against very experienced athletes from many other private schools in Sydney.

Unfortunately, after organising the event, Mrs Davey couldn’t be there on the day. However, Mrs Klueckmann and the many wonderful parents who came along to assist and support the children, managed to get them to their races on time and cheer them along in a day of friendly competition.
