While our school is so much more than ranking and awards, it is evident that our school philosophy translates into measurable outcomes that will open up many opportunities for our students.
2021
- GISS has been ranked in the top 100 schools in New South Wales (NSW), Australia according to an independent academic analysis by Better Education. Our secondary school placed #3 on the Northern Beaches, and #66 in NSW. While our primary school placed #17 on the Northern Beaches, and #275 in NSW. Read more
- Three students of a class of 20 graduating in the Nov 2021 session achieved scores of 40, 43 and 44 respectively, securing them positions on our Hall of Fame honour board. Our class average for this IB cohort was 34.6 (ATAR 92.5). Read more

2020
- GISS Secondary students come 2nd in NAPLAN tests on the Northern Beaches. GISS also made it into the top 50 schools in NSW. Read more
- Our Class of 2020 achieved a 100% pass rate with a class average score of 33, which is an ATAR of 90. Read more
2018
- Rating for our Preschool announced: ”Exceeding National Quality Standards”. Read more

2017
- GISS was re-inspected by the German education authority and continues to hold the certificate “Excellent German School Abroad”. Read more
2015
- GISS IB Diploma results are our best ever! 100% pass rate (world average is 79%) with an average passing grade of 36.6; significantly above the global average of 29.81 and 0.7 points better than our previous best in 2014.
2014
- First GISS IB Diploma student (Olivia Merz) achieves the perfect score of 45 points (a feat which only 0.1% worldwide achieve).
- 100% pass rate (world average is 79%) with an average passing grade of 35.8; significantly above the global average of 29.81 and 0.2 points better than our previous best.
2013
- Excellent IB results - 100% pass rate with an average passing grade of 35.6.
- GISS students NAPLAN results 2013 are outstanding. The school average was in 18 out of 20 cases substantially above the national average.

- According to The Australian’s “Your school” feature, GISS comes in 34th among all Private Primary Schools in Australia, as well as 27th among all Private Secondary Schools in Australia, This comparison is based on the 2013 NAPLAN results.
