GISS is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and is thrilled to announce the launch of a new scholarship program for our IB programme.
GISS now participates in the Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP) run nationally by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) and all scholarship applicants need to register and apply to sit an exam with ACER. Following the ACER exam, short-listed students are invited to an interview at GISS.
The academic scholarships cover tuition fees up to 50% for the entire duration of the two-year programme (Years 11 and 12).
Who can apply?
The scholarships are open to existing students and new students with English native speaker fluency, entering in Year 11 in 2025.
Application requirements:
- Applicants need to be entering Year 11 in 2025
- All scholarship applicants need to register and apply to sit an exam with the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER)
- Applicants preferably spent at least two years in an Australian school and have a continuous record of high academic achievements and learning success.
- All scholarship applicants need to have a high standard of spoken and written English and excellent Maths skills. Please note that German language knowledge is not a prerequisite.

- The cost of registration for the scholarship testing is $130 (including GST).
Application Timeline:
- The application period concludes at midnight on Sunday, 4th February 2024.
- Scholarship testing for entry in 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, 24th February 2024.
