Congratulations to the GISS Class of 2024!
We are celebrating a record-breaking achievement: 34% of our graduates scored 39 points or above, earning a GISS record of 9 names being added to our prestigious Hall of Fame Honour Board!
Our highest-scoring graduate achieved an impressive 44 points, followed by:
- Two graduates with 43 points
- One with 42 points
- Two with 41 points
- One with 40 points
- Two with 39 points
Each of these students received a Distinction Award from IB Australasia for their outstanding performance. In addition, 12 of our 26 graduates earned a total of 40 Merit Awards for achieving the highest grade of 7 in subjects or an A in Theory of Knowledge and/or their Extended Essays.
We couldn’t be prouder of our students’ hard work, dedication, and incredible accomplishments. Congratulations, Class of 2024—you’ve made history!

About the IB results
On 17 December, 3,072 students in Australia, 823 students in New Zealand, together with 21,567 students worldwide will receive their Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) results from the November 2024 examination session. This marks a 4.6% increase in the number of students receiving DP and CP results from last year. In the May 2024 examination session, a further 192,867 students completed the DP and CP, marking a 7.2% increase in the number of students receiving DP and CP results.
With a global average DP score for the May 2024 session of 30.32 points, today’s IB graduates join a community of more than 2.5 million alumni and lifelong learners across 160 countries worldwide.
