The Enterprise German (Unternehmen Deutsch) competition that some Y10 students took part in is now over. Mr Metzger and I attended the Awards Ceremony with the Year 10 students on Friday at the Goethe Institute in Sydney and our students won the 3rd prize. A total of 96 groups submitted their results so our students did an amazing job! 

The Lufthansa Group won but I want to stress that all groups made clever advertisements that they can be proud of and all students put a lot of time and effort into this project for over half a year. Each group submitted three modules. The first module was a presentation about the economy in Sydney with particular reference to the German companies in the region.

The second module was done after we met with the respective partner companies and summarised the companies, products and strategy.

The third module was the main one, where they had to come up with a suitable new business idea for their partner company and then create an advertisement communicating their idea to the target audience.

Prior to the ceremony on Friday Trudi Latour from SBS Radio conducted an interview with our students which will air in the coming weeks.
