On December 12th, the GISS Band performed two dress rehearsals for the secondary school classes in the multifunction room and a final concert in the evening for the public.
The program consisted of classical pieces as well as pop music. Girls and boys from Years 6 to 10 have been practicing on Tuesdays after school for an hour and a half to prepare for this presentation.
It was their second concert and the first time they performed in front of their peers. I was very happy to see so many students, teachers and parents attend the performances and am proud of the students and their achievements for which they worked so hard.
Students across different year levels had the opportunity to collaborate where music was their common goal, new friendships were formed and it was all about achieving something together.
Let’s rock on!
