On Thursday 29th August, I had the pleasure of going to the opening night of the Northern Beaches Youth Art Prize at Curl Curl Creative Space. Over 900 young people across the Northern Beaches submitted art for the competition and two of our Year 7 students got through to the final and had their work hung in the gallery. 

The quality of all the work was very impressive and I’m sure the judges had a hard time choosing who to give the prize money to. Although Axel and Briana did not win any money, they should be very proud of themselves for being shortlisted and having their artwork hung in this prestigious exhibition.
