Once again, our GISS school community was joined by thousands of visitors from near and far, who all came to take part in our biggest community event of the year. They enjoyed a wide variety of food and hearty German delights, games, amazing music performances, soccer, and countless other activities such as Lantern Walks, Art & Craft workshops, Marshmallow Roasting and Face Painting.
It wouldn’t have been possible without you. Many many thanks to all our parent / student volunteers and to our GISS staff for the hard work you have invested, and also for your thoughtful planning and your willingness to help wherever it was needed.
A special mention must go to the classes and volunteers that cooked over 180 litres of the most delicious pea soup and over 400 litres of aromatic Glühwein and Kinderpunch. Our parent volunteers made 200 litres of waffle dough and a wide range of treats including very popular Lebkuchenherzen. Hundreds of books had to be sorted beforehand and thousands of sausages to be grilled.
Thanks to the many external market stall holders and the generous support of the local community, we were able to transform our grounds into a magical winter wonderland. A special thanks must also go to our main event sponsor Cupra and the Casella Family.
Thank you all again for your contributions to our Christmas Market. We couldn’t have done it without your help!
